How we use personal information is outlined below.

Enquiries:

If you wish to contact us to discuss your project/proposal:

  • Information provided to us through online or telephone enquiries, or by contractors on your behalf, is entered into an encrypted and password protected database during initial communications. This database is held locally and not stored on a remote server.
  • This information is used simply to contact you in relation to your enquiry and any follow-up correspondence relating to your potential project.
  • This information will not be used for promotional mailing etc.
  • If you choose not to work with us, your details are removed from our ‘Enquiries’ database once we are aware that our services are not required.
  • You will not be contacted by us again.

Clients:

If you choose to appoint us for your project:

  • Your contact information is transferred to a project specific ‘Project Management’ spreadsheet for our use internally. This information is held locally and not stored on a remote server.
  • We use your information for the duration of the project to contact and update you.
  • As part of the project process your details may be entered onto application forms, for example your planning application. These are usually publicly accessible records (local planning searches are available on Local Authority websites) and your name and address will be shown on drawings.
  • During the project we may pass (or ‘CC’ on email) your contact details to external consultants/contractors for the purposes of obtaining quotes etc for services relevant to the project (E.g. Structural Engineer, Party Wall Surveyor, etc.). If you do not wish us to pass your details on in this way, please inform us of this as soon as possible – we will check with you at the time, just to be sure.
  • Once our services are completed we may contact you to request feedback and to arrange a site visit to see the finished project.
  • We are keen to stay in touch with our clients and so encourage the use of social media for this. If we contact you in the future, it will be personal – to see how you are getting on in your new home for example.   We do not send out generic marketing emails to past clients nor share your information with others for marketing purposes.
  • If you wish to be removed from our contacts list, then please do let us know, in order that we may erase your data.  Where this is the case, you will not be contacted by us again.

Under the GDPR regulations you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the data held
  • Request rectification of the data held
  • Request removal of the data held
  • Object to being contacted

Please contact us using the details on our contact page to make such a request.
